DOCSIS Test Products and Systems

Averna

Averna's DP-360 DOCSIS Protocol Analyzer is the industry standard for functional DOCSIS network analysis. Chipset manufacturers, product developers, and certification bodies use it to speed up the detection and location of trouble spots by providing visibility into all layers of the DOCSIS network.
Optimized for real-time signal processing with FPGA technology, the DP-360 analyzes up to four single or bonded upstream and downstream channels, increasing the productivity of your highly-skilled personnel by enabling them to complete projects on time and within budget.

Key application areas

  • DOCSIS silicon design
  • Cable modem, set-top box and CMTS testing
  • Certification and qualification testing
  • Product development
  • Design verification
  • Option for Jupiter from Averna
  • Network troubleshooting
  • System integration/verification

The Jupiter Design Verification Test System is the industry standard for automated DOCSIS physical (PHY) layer testing. It provides the most comprehensive test coverage and accurate results for of DOCSIS 3.0, 2.0, and 1.1 devices.
Certification labs, standards bodies, and leading product manufacturers use Jupiter to test devices such as cable modems, set-top boxes, and other DOCSIS CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) devices, from product development to mass production verification.

Features

  • Off-the-shelf solution for DOCSIS 3.0, 2.0 and 1.0 PHY testing
  • Industry-standard methodology
  • Single and bonded channel testing
  • The most comprehensive test coverage for the DOCSIS 3.0 standard
  • All tests documented according to certification lab standards
  • Automated test sequences on thousands of parameters
  • Tens of thousands of measurements taken
  • Flexible, configurable test scripts

Averna's Mercury Manufacturing Verification Test System is the industry standard for automated mass production verification testing for the DOCSIS standard. It provides the most comprehensive test coverage and accurate results for of DOCSIS 3.0, 2.0, and 1.1 devices.
Cable data/voice modems or cable set-top boxes manufacturers use it to test for the DOCSIS standard during high-volume production, for up to 16,000 units per day, and granular enough to support lower volumes. It is composed of 11 test stations tooled to provide specific, accurate testing, including stations for calibration, voice test, functional test, and Out-of-Box Assurance (OBA).

Applications:

  • Mass production verification testing for DOCSIS Customer Premise Equipment, such as:

    • Cable-modems
    • EMTA (Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter)
    • Gateways
    • Set-top boxes
